Note: About 71 Volunteers attended this three day event! This training is required for folks who would like to help out in the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests during the summer. Judy Mitchell is a retired USFS person and she has done a fine job putting on this 2007 Training Weekend. Participants camped out at a school grounds in Oakridge near the Ranger Station. We were on our own for car camp meals, but were treated to a lunch by the Pacific Crest Trail Association and a dinner by Emerald Empire Back Country Horsemen of Oregon. Music and dancing capped the evening on Saturday! --Webmeister Speik
