View of Mount Hood approaching from the south east on Highway 26.
View of Mount Hood showing the south side climbing route
including the hog back and the pearly gates.
Mount Hood from the south west side showing the precipitous
slopes to your right in the descent in a white out to the Lodge.
Mount Hood from the south east lower parking lot for the lodge.
Mount Hood in June, showing the south side route up the ski lift
to the right of Cathedral Rock, up the hog back and through the pearly gates to
the summit plateau. The mountain is said to be out of condition through the
summer and fall because the melted snow has exposed steeper and more technical
hard snow slopes with more objective risk of rock fall.
