From our Calendar of interesting relevant Events:
"Nordeen warming shelter was rebuilt last
summer, mostly by efforts of the Central Oregon Nordic Club and miscellaneous
volunteers. Club members raised over $20,000 in donations and donated materials
and provided the majority of volunteer labor to rebuild the new shelter from the
ashes of the original shelter which burned last February. This is surely one of
the finest nordic ski and snowshoe warming shelters on the Deschutes. Shelter is
day use and nonmotorized use only. Grand opening dedication scheduled for December 15, 2007 at 11AM".
